FAQ

  • Can I make a custom order?
Absolutely! Since we do all our work with simple medieval hand tools, as long as it is within our ability to make, we will be happy to work with you on a personalized piece. Just send us a message from our contact section.
  • What other kinds of items do you make?
Apart from our wide catalogue of standard items, we also specialize in knife sheathes, shoulder rigs, suspenders, tool belts, belt bags, cross body bags, kilt sporrans, guitar straps, historical armor, & historical holsters and slings...to name a few. Due to the lack of modern machinery, we do not have the ability to make anything that involves manufacturing level processes like machine stitching or laser engraving, such as but not limited to: embroidered motorcycle seats, Horse saddles, hats, boots, jackets or other garments.
  • How do I take care of my leather?
Great question! All leather care is preventative, so keeping your piece clean, dry, and conditioned regularly is key to it's longevity. your order is shipped to you with a fresh base coat conditioner which will help it be water resistant but not completely water proof, so avoid getting your piece soaked, especially by salt water or chlorinated pool water. These will degrade the organic material beyond repair if they become saturated. When the piece hardens and cracks it is now dry rotted, and cannot be salvaged. If cleaning is necessary, wipe dirt and debris away gently with a damp cloth and dab of dish soap, allow to dry completely, then condition. Depending on heaviness of use, we advise you condition every 6-12 months to keep it supple.
  • What other materials are used in your products?
All our leather is varying thicknesses of full grain, utility grade steer hide. All our hardware such as buckles, snaps, rivets and D rings are solid brass. we offer options including natural antiqued, matte nickel plated, and matte black PVD plated. The chainmaille rings used for our jewelry are made from anodized aluminum and powder-coated or plated iron. For wallet chains we use stainless steel or bronze. Some of our tactical items incorporate velcro panels or kydex plates.
  • What do the symbols on your products mean?
Everything we make is inspired by ancient norse, celtic, and slavic cultures. The symbols and imagery are pulled from history and mythology to embody the spirit of the warrior past. The Runes for example act as both a written alphabet and have their own individual esoteric meanings, that the vikingr believed may imbue an item with magical powers.
  • What is your refund and exchange policy?
All sales, custom or otherwise, are final and refunds or exchanges will be accepted only if the item you purchased arrived damaged or if you received the wrong item. If either are the case then you will have 30 days to notify us of the error so that we may determine the validity of the claim and best course for correction.

Yes and no. As production is a one man operation and every item is made to order by hand, large bulk orders are considered on a case by case basis. Taking into consideration the size, complexity, and quantity of the requested item/s will greatly affect the lead time needed to produce and ship. Bulk discounts are available depending on the quantity and item complexity as well, so please reach out to us with your idea, and we'll do our best to make it happen for you!
